“Organizational and Methodological Work” — is a type of activity aimed at proper planning, systematic organization, and effective implementation of the school psychologist’s professional duties.
Purpose of Organizational and Methodological Work:
To ensure that the school’s psychological service operates on a systematic, scientific, and methodological basis; to enhance the psychologist’s professional competence; and to provide psychological support for the educational process.
Main Objectives:
- Develop and implement the annual work plan;
- Prepare methodological materials, psychodiagnostic, and correctional-development programs;
- Plan psychoeducational and preventive activities (seminars, trainings, round tables, etc.);
- Maintain records and analyze the performance of the psychological service;
- Create methodological materials for teachers and parents;
- Conduct activities aimed at improving the psychological culture of the school staff.
Areas of Collaboration:
1. With the Teaching Staff:
Provide psychological consultations, suggest strategies for working with students who face difficulties, and organize joint activities.
2. With Parents:
Offer recommendations on child-rearing methods according to age and psychological characteristics, and conduct educational meetings.
3. With the School Administration:
Work on improving the school’s psychological climate and provide psychological support within the educational and disciplinary systems.
Documentation:
- Annual and monthly work plans of the psychologist;
- Reports on diagnostics, correctional, developmental, and counseling activities;
- Collections of methodological guides and manuals;
- Sets of materials developed for different age groups of students.
