“Psychological Preventive and Educational Work” — is a type of activity aimed at preventing possible psychological difficulties in a child.
It focuses on maintaining emotional, behavioral, and social well-being before problems arise, as well as on increasing the psychological literacy and awareness of students, parents, and teachers.
Purpose of Psychological Preventive and Educational Work:
To prevent factors that negatively affect a child’s personal development, to avoid the emergence of psychological difficulties, and to preserve students’ emotional well-being.
Objectives:
- To develop students’ emotional stability;
- To prevent behavioral deviations;
- To cultivate a culture of communication;
- To prevent bullying and aggression in school;
- To teach coping strategies for stress and anxiety;
- To support career guidance and self-awareness.
Activities within Preventive Work:
- Psychological trainings and lessons;
- Socio-psychological surveys and questionnaires;
- Round tables, seminars, and discussions;
- Distribution of informational leaflets and recommendations;
School-wide campaigns (e.g., “Say Yes to Life!”, “No to Bullying!”, etc.).
