Every year on September 3, Kazakhstan celebrates Kazakh Tazy and Tobet Day.
In 2026, this commemorative date was added to the official list of holidays by a Government resolution in order to promote these unique dog breeds, which are regarded as part of our nation’s cultural heritage.
The Kazakh Tazy is a symbol of speed, agility, nobility, and alertness. The Kazakh Tobet represents loyalty, strength, and the spirit of a protector.
The Kazakh Tazy and Tobet are a precious heritage closely connected with the history, way of life, and national identity of our people.
Preserving our national values, introducing them to the younger generation, and fostering respect for them is a shared responsibility for all of us.
Let us honor our national heritage and cherish our treasured legacy!
